Resolution from the City of Key Colony Beach

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF KEY COLONY BEACH, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO UNITED STATES REPRESENATATIVE ILEANA ROS-LEHTINEN FROM THE 18TH DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR HER ASSISTANCE IN RE-OPENING THE FLORIDA KEYS MARATHON AIRPORT


WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Key Colony Beach, Florida, adopted Resolution 2003-02 which fully endorsed and supported all government and other agency efforts to expand passenger airline service to the Florida Keys Marathon Airport serving the residents and visitors of all the Florida Keys; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Key Colony Beach, Florida, recognizes the invaluable assistance that US Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has extended to the City of Key Colony Beach and other cities and Monroe County to re-open the Florida Keys Marathon Airport, and

WHEREAS, US Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has taken a leadership role in facilitating with federal government agencies to provide screeners at the Florida Keys Marathon Airport, and


WHEREAS, US Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has in the past and continues to assist the City of Key Colony Beach during her term in office.


NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF KEY COLONY BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:

This Resolution of Appreciation be extended to US Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen for her efforts to re-open the Florida Keys Marathon Airport.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City of Key Colony Beach, this 14th Day of December, 2006.
